Root canal sealers are the binding agents used with gutta-percha for obturation, usually radiopaque. They fill the anatomic space where primary filling materials fail to reach and possess great anti-microbial properties.

• Induce mineralization
• Induce apical closure via cementogenesis
• Inhibit root resorption subsequent to trauma
• Inhibit osteoclast activity via an alkaline pH
• Seal and prevent leakage
